I recently encountered this issue while looking at tickets for the Super Bowl in New Orleans. The ticket site had some good prices, but by the time you got to the checkout, the “premium” was over 40% of the ticket price (which is criminal!).

This took a $3,500 ticket up to $4,900 at checkout. The site felt like a total scam and bait-and-switch. If they showed the “total” price during the search, it would look less like a fraud on the site. More transparency in fees is needed.
